The Northern Ireland Electricity (Londonderry Area) Golfing Society meet and play 10 times each year at some of the best Golf Clubs in our locality. Three of the events are matches against sister NIE area societies. The spirit of the game is always friendly, even though there is an element of competition as well.

This season we will be holding two events each month between May and October with prizes awarded to the top three finishes in each event. Points will also be awarded for the top ten finishes in each event which count towards the 'Player of the Year' award. All prizes and awards are presented to the recipients on Captain's Day.

The 'Christmas Bash' is our final event of the season when all participants are guaranteed to take home a prize. This event is followed by the Society's Annual General Meeting.

Matches are currently played against:

• The Northern Ireland Electricity (Ballymena Area) Golfing Society for the Ballymena Shield.
• The Northern Ireland Electricity (Omagh Area Area) Golfing Society for the Willie Wilson Cup.
• A three-way match with the above areas and ourselves for the Londonderry Cup.

The date and venue for all three events is selected by the current holders of the respective trophies.
